In this inaugural episode of the Top Control Podcast, I sit down with Nathen ‘Levo’ Leverton. We discuss the early days of submission grappling in the UK, cornering strikers in the UFC, breaking away to focus on amateur MMA, drawing on different grappling disciplines, the beauty of leg-locks and creating a student progression system for no-gi grappling.

He has trained up more than 100 MMA and Submission Wrestling competitors and cornered over 100 MMA fights in six countries. He is most well known for his work with Team Rough House who he coached and cornered for over 40 fights, including 10 UFC bouts for Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy, Andre Winner and Nick Osipczak.
He has written for and been featured in many publications including Men’s Fitness, Fighter’s Only, Fighting Fit, MMA Unlimited and Martial Arts Illustrated.
